A number of government directives exist to provide social & affordable housing to local people, usually those on a low income or people who need extra support.

Single people, couples and families are generally catered for, whilst also occasionally coming from a range of varying needs. These may include older or less mobile people; those needing somewhere urgently to stay, perhaps because of domestic violence; people leaving Local Authority care when they reach 18 years old; disabled persons; those recovering from drug/alcohol or mental health issues.

Due to many of the occupants being of a vulnerable disposition, these properties, sometimes referred to as ‘supported’ or ‘sheltered’ housing, often require enhanced fire protection. Thus, residential fire sprinklers are frequently employed to provide fire protection for both the occupants and the assets.

Adima work closely with the Authorities and Housing Associations to optimise the benefits that fire sprinklers can provide, whilst mindful of the limited resources usually available.
