Any type of fire sprinkler system, however large or small, will need an adequate water supply to provide adequate flow-rate and pressure. This can be achieved in a variety of ways, at varying levels of cost. Water storage may not necessarily be required. We are happy to advise on achieving the requirements in the most cost-effective manner.

In addition to gaining satisfactory approval in principle for a proposed scheme from the Authority Having Jurisdiction, i.e. Building Control and/or the Fire & Rescue Service, compliance with Water Regulations must be achieved. As with all mains water amenities in a residential dwelling, the local Water Company must  be informed of an intention to install residential fire sprinklers.

Various technical guidance documents are in circulation, some generic and some specific to your regional Water Company. Adima are happy to liaise directly with the Water Company, when required. Alternatively, we can provide you with the relevant information and/or assistance to ensure the system is fully compliant.
