In a typical year in the UK, domestic fire causes approximately 330 fatalities, and 11,000 serious burns & casualties. It also causes property damage to around 55,000 homes.

In order to reduce these statistics, the Government has enforced a Directive to the Chief Fire Officers (CFOs) of all Fire & Rescue Services within the UK to work closer with all relevant parties and home-owners in the area of fire protection and life safety.
